# Read the Cost per Location report

What the Cost per Location table on the Cost Report adds up, what Cost / t means, and how to see the orders behind a figure.

The Cost per Location table on the Cost Report shows what each location spends on each material. One row is one location and one waste type, and every number traces back to the orders behind it.

## Read a row

- **Cost** adds up every line behind the row: disposal, transport, rental and fees.
- **Cost / t** is the all-in cost per tonne, the same figure the Cost Heatmap shows for that location and waste type.
- Surcharges are reported by type: CO2 surcharge, Energy surcharge, Toll and Other surcharge.

## See what makes up a figure

1. Open the **Cost Report** and find the **Cost per Location** table. Use **Filters** to narrow it to the locations or waste types you need.

2. Click a row. The drawer opens with the **Cost by price type** table: cost, share and cost per tonne for each price type. Together they add up to the row's Cost / t.

3. Below it, the drawer lists every source order behind the row, grouped per order, with each line's price type, quantity, unit price and net total, and a subtotal per order. Hover a long order number to see it in full.

4. To work with the numbers elsewhere, use the report's CSV export. It opens correctly in Excel, also in languages that use a decimal comma.

> **Note: Why a transport line counts under a material**
>
> Transport, rental and fee lines carry no waste type of their own. When their order has only one material, they count under it; a reconciling row covers the rest. Shares are taken of the charges, so a rebate never pushes them above 100 %.

The Cost Report always uses actual weights: costs are never estimated.
